Get guaranteed blog traffic with this approach

You are a blogger.  Writing blog posts is one of your regular tasks.  Your next step would be working on SEO processes and waiting for more blog traffic.  You have visitors to your blog but you are not happy with the flow quantity.  You’d like to see more traffic to your blog.  How to achieve this?

submit blog to blog directory www.blogbee.in

Here we need to examine the pattern of blog writing.  By pattern, I mean the way you choose the blog post subject and its content.  Bloggers generally write based on:

  1. Instinct writing
  2. Knowledge weaving
  3. Experience sharing

1.  The result of above writing in general would be:

I.  Instinct writing:

Instinct writing may not always be a successful means for traffic generation.  You topic may be restricted in its scope and may not be attractive enough for considerable traffic.  Instinct writing is that you scribble something without much plan, thought or strategy.  It is similar to brain dump.

II.  Knowledge weaving:

Knowledge weaving is writing blog post(s) based on your knowledge and subject matter expertise.  For example you may like to write more on marketing because you have done specialization on the subject and can easily create content around it.  This again may not invite much audience because you might have chosen a very broad knowledge area and you need to compete with many several million pages on the subject.  This obviously may not generate attractive traffic unless you establish yourself very aggressively against your competitors.

III.  Experience sharing:

Experience sharing is again similar to knowledge weaving.  Here you like to share your experiences.  How much blog traffic can you attract?  It depends on the content, your presentation style and the benefit of reading you offer to the audience.  You may write about your experiences in personal life, professional areas or random occurrences.

For bloggers who just don’t bother about more blog traffic and who just like to engage their free time in blog writing, the above pattern should be perfectly alright.  But there are other bloggers who madly look for more and more blog traffic.  They just like to see more comments to their blog posts.  They would regularly check the blog traffic stats through Google Analytics.  They want every day increase in the number of visitors, number of page views and the click through ratio (CTR).

2.  If you are a blogger who is looking for such a big traffic to your blog you may follow the foregoing steps.

I.  Use Google trends and Google Insights

From the above table you can see that cricket is a rising search. If you want more traffic to your blog you may write an article on cricket which is a trending topic.  You may also write on the features and benefits of Facebook.  For example write an article on creating company page on Facebook.  Though the trends show that people are searching for Facebook, downloads, songs and so, you can still pull some traffic to your blog when you write a blog post related to these search trends.

II.  Use Google Keyword tool to find out the most popular keywords.

This is one of the top approaches of successful bloggers.  They research for the popular keyword and write a blog post surrounding the keyword.  The approach will bring considerable traffic as the keyword is very popular and mostly searched.  For example ‘submit blog’ or ‘submit url’ are popular keywords.  You can write an article on how to submit a blog to blog directory and how to submit website url to Google search engine.  Similarly ‘Home based business’ is again a popular keyword.  You can write an article on related to this keyword.  There are hundreds of such keywords.  You can write content based on the best one among.

III.  Use permanent keywords (popular keywords forever):

This is a sure shot approach.  Here the tricky thing however is you shouldn’t use copyrighted keyword or trade marked keyword.  Some companies will have Intellectual Property (IP) rights on keywords related to company’s name or company’s product.  You should not use such keyword because you will hijack the traffic meant for the company who had IP rights on the keyword and it would tantamount to willful IP violation.

By the way, what is a permanent keyword?  Keywords those are ever popular.  Republic day, Independence day Valentine’s day, Christmas, Picasso paintings, Bollywood, Samosa, and many more.

Once you publish a post using the above methods, I am sure you will find increased traffic to your blog owing to that one post.  You can keep a track of blog traffic through your Google Analytics account.  This again is a place which will tell you the popular keywords that brought more blog traffic to your blog.  The keywords that you have already used in your blog posts.

Top 10 steps for Blog reputation

As a blogger one should adhere to the following routine:

1) Regular submission of posts

Ideally every blogger should have a fixed date / day on which he / she would post new articles or make updates to his / her blog portfolio.  As a blogger you should use your free time in a given day for topic research.  You can brain-dump your ideas during leisure hours or weekends and preferably submit your article between Monday and Wednesday in case you are used to one submission per week.  You should allow sufficient interval between posts so that your blog visitors have a chance to notice your blog post and offer their comments.  It is never correct to submit several blog postings in one go.

2) Search Google for results of your blog’s focus keyword(s)

You would have assigned focus keyword(s) for your blog.  For example if you are an artist painter, the focus keywords could be (a) paintings (b) oil paintings (c) paintings by <your name> (d) paintings from India (e) paintings from <your city> (f) Artist & painter <your name> (g) art gallery and so.

As you keep updating your blog, Google search engine will index your blog for blog site focus keywords and each post specific keywords.  You should periodically search Google for your focus keyword results.  You should find increased results every time if the blog is regularly crawled by Google search engine.  If you happen to find the results being reduced or static you should be concerned about your blog maintenance schedules.  You should become more active and involved with your blog updates to avoid this.  You may also periodically verify your keyword ranking through reputed keyword position checker tools.

3) Check Alexa rank

You need to install Alexa tool bar to register for Alexa crawling and ranking.  Keep a regular watch on your blog’s rank, number of links, search pattern and more as facilitated by Alexa through its tool bar.  The Alexa rank numbers will give you a fair indication of your site’s hit rate.  If you just have started blogging or lately installed Alexa tool bar you need to wait for a week or so to find Alexa analysis results of your blog.

4) Check Google Page rank

You should also install Google Tool Bar to keep a track of your Blog site’s and / or Blog page’s Google Page Rank.  As we know Google Page Rank is the ultimate indicator for webpage reputation whether it is a blog site or website.

5) Sharing links on Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter

You should share each and every content update across all Social Media channels.  I suggest the first update should be on your Google+ / Google profile page followed by Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.  These updates will result in more traffic to your blog and more search results for your blog / post keywords.  The other advantage would be you will see increase of inbound links to your blog provided you host great and useful content to your audience.

6) Updating Bookmark sites and Blog directory sites

This is one of the most important activities that can contribute to surprising traffic to your blog.  You may submit your blog post links to Delicious.com, Paperblog.com and a few similar sites.

7) Visiting blogs related to the focus subject of your blog

Blogosphere is a platform of reciprocity.  You should visit blogs of your co-bloggers in your subject area or beyond and leave your observations and comments on their blog posts.  This will prompt them to visit your blog and leave reciprocal action through commenting on your blog posts.  This is an important exercise to build reputation in the blogging world and attract inbound links to your blog site.

9) Checking for bad or broken links

We may not have noticed that some of our blog links are not working owing to whatever the reason that could be.  Visitors may be getting the irritating HTTP error 404.  We should periodically look for broken links through online broken link checker tools to maintain healthy navigation.

10) Google Webmasters Tools

Blog reputation

The one thing that every one of us cherishes to own is reputation.  Reputation is the most valuable word considering that it creates and enhances the brand value.  Of course, I am talking here about good reputation.  The word ‘bad reputation’ may not be a right word because a thing which is called bad could never reflect reputation.

The evolution of Internet and the social media world have added Internet reputation as one of the synonyms for reputation.  This aspect has evolved just by the visionary outlook of Google.  Google in fact has revolutionized Internet usage and practically made Internet a second world for all of us.  Google helped Internet grow in a more disciplined, expansive and futuristic path.  In that process, Google had introduced Google Page Rank – reputation rating mechanism for web pages on Internet – which has become the benchmark for quality and reliable Internet presence of a web page.

google-pagerankGoogle Page Rank rates web pages on a scale of number 1 to 10.  Here 10 is the highest rating.  I just checked the page ranking of following web pages.

http://www.google.com/                                 9

http://india.gov.in/                                           9

http://www.twitter.com                                  9

http://www.usa.gov/                                       10

http://get.adobe.com/reader/                           10

http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php         10

Looking at the above we can estimate how coveted is Google Page 9 and 10.  I may mention that Google reviews its page rank periodically and the ranking of a given webpage may go up or come down depending on the reflecting factors.

It is not clear as to what parameters are taken into consideration in the rank reckoning. However, the following are some of the elements that a web page should reflect in order to bag Google page rank.

  1. Domain TLD
  2. Domain name
  3. Domain age
  4. Domain life
  5. Web page author’s quality presence
  6. Inbound links
  7. Outbound links
  8. Schedule discipline in page updates
  9. Content size, content clarity, content relevance, & content quality
  10. Content freshness
  11. Redundancy, duplicacy, plagiarism
  12. Intellectual Property considerations
  13. Page design and architecture
  14. Page hits / clicks
  15. SEO elements like Focus Keyword, Clarified representation of content

Practically speaking a webpage should hold a reasonable page rank going by the length of its presence on Internet.
